This release extends Overledger’s support to more blockchain networks.
Release 2.2.8 of Overledger is now live. It introduces support for XDC, a hybrid network designed for enterprise use, and updated connectivity with Ethereum Ropsten test network, which is undergoing technical changes as it transitions to a new, highly anticipated proof-of-stake model.
This version adds API support for XDC’s Apothem Test network. All the standard functions in Overledger are now available on XDC Apothem TestNet, including searching for a transaction, monitoring activity on an address and smart contract invoke.
XDC Network is a hybrid network designed for enterprise use, and known for its focus on security, high transaction speeds and low carbon footprint. It runs on a delegated proof-of-stake network and has low transaction fees.
As part of Ethereum’s anticipated merge, Ropsten has been upgraded to transition to a new proof-of-stake consensus algorithm. To support this, we enhanced Ethereum-based functions in Overledger for the Ropsten TestNet including searching for a transaction, monitoring activity on an address, and smart contract invoke.
