With over 10 years of certified experience in the blockchain industry, Alex has supported Quant on distributed ledger research since 2017 through University College London’s Centre for Blockchain Technologies (UCL CBT). Since joining Quant full-time in 2018, he has led the development of the XRP Ledger Connector for Overledger V1, transitioning into a leadership role through integrating various distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) under the Overledger umbrella, including Corda, Hyperledger Fabric and Polkadot.
Having brought on industry knowledge of smart contracts from various DLTs, he has architected projects such as the Bank of International Settlements’ CBDC Project Rosalind and UK Finance’s Regulated Liability Network. He has also researched graph analysis on blockchain traceability for the HMRC and piloted cross-network Corda interoperability for SIA S.p.A.
Prior to Quant, he was a Labs Executive at London Blockchain Labs, having built on his experience of leveraging Ethereum smart contracts for e-notary publics. Alex participates in hackathons, holds talks at various conventions, and contributes to the Internet Engineering Task Force’s digital assets and blockchain interoperability standards in his spare time, solidifying his commitment to an open, accessible and standardised blockchain industry.
