Last week we hosted a three-day Hackathon, that brought together members of both our Engineering and Product teams to compete to build a functioning prototype that showcases the capabilities of Overledger and any of its several integrations.

The teams had two days to start building their idea, and on day three, they had to present their idea to the panel of judges. The eight teams included:

  • Bear Minimum
  • Dark Pigeons of DOOM
  • GingerDoge
  • Ink&Papyrus
  • IO
  • Quantum ladies
  • Squad 1
  • The full-stack avengers

They each had fifteen minutes to present their idea, who were critiquing their work against the following areas: innovation, functionality, impact and marketability. Some of the ideas included app creation, blockchain games, CBDC accounts and on-chain minting, to name a few.

After much deliberation from the judges, the teams were ranked, and the results were revealed.

The winning team, Full Stack Avengers, presented an idea titled P2P marketplace, which explored how a set of three demo apps could show how third-party locks work.

In second place, team IO, showcased their idea which looked at integrating blockchain technology within the gaming ecosystem using our APIs.

And in third place, Squad 1, who worked on a product that could view and audit the processes in your product’s supply chain using blockchain technology and interoperability.

The day was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity for Quant employees to showcase their skills and explore the innovative capabilities of Overledger.
