Having just returned from Sibos 2022, our Founder & CEO and our Chief Product Officer reflect on the industry’s readiness to adopt digital assets and the key developments we’re likely to see over the next 12 months.

Billed as ‘the world’s premier financial services event’, SWIFT’s Sibos conference is an annual opportunity for the industry to come together to further the dialogue that is so critical to its progress.

This year in Amsterdam, the sessions were focused on the enormous benefits digital transformation can bring to the financial sector – as well as the hurdles we face to realising them.

In our Guide to Sibos 2022, published before the event, we offered our own perspectives on five key themes: interoperability, distributed ledger technology, institutional digital assets, tokenised money, and central bank digital currencies.

Having just returned from Sibos, our Founder & CEO, Gilbert Verdian, and our Chief Product Officer, Martin Hargreaves sat down with CMO Andrew Carrier to reflect on these key themes in light of the many conversations they’d had with customers and partners, the sessions they’d attended, but – perhaps most importantly – the key developments they believe we’re likely to see over the next 12 months.
